Product Description
It looks and sounds like a real cell phone, but it's a lot more fun! This phone helps kids learn important phone numbers. It's easy to program those numbers in - like home, grandma's, mom or dad's work number. Then Gabby¿, an interactive phone friend, will help your child learn them along with the alphabet, counting and more!

It's one of the few things that will keep him engaged for about 10-15 minutes (which is all I can ask for with him!). Although the learning modes are clearly for older children (like learning how to key in 911 and such), he likes the interactive graphics and many different sounds he gets by pressing all the different buttons. So, it doesn't hold too much educational value for him now (he's 18 months), but definitely will when he gets older. He has throw it down in the car many many times and it hasn't damaged it at all. This phone has stayed in our car in high heat and cold temperatures and so far has resisted damage. 13 of 13 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By = Durability: ![]() ![]() ![]() This review is from: Fun-2-Learn Cell Phone (Toy) My 2 year old son loves this phone because it talks to him and makes all kinds of noise. I however, wish that when you program in phone numbers that the phone would actually recite them back or teach the phone number in some way. The way it works though, is that the child has to know the phone number first and then play the little guessing game. The phone will provide the child with the first 1-2 digits of a phone number and then the child has to know the rest and enter them in. I wish that there was a button that says "Your home number is ___-____" so that it is actually teaching him the number. Instead its just another play phone that he has a bunch of already. So thats disappointing. 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By = Durability: ![]() ![]() ![]() Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Fun-2-Learn Cell Phone (Toy) I bought this phone for my 3 1/2 year old so he can learn our cell and home phone numbers in case of emergency. First I was considering the Learning Resources Teaching Phone, but the cell phone style and price of this phone was more appealing. The phone stores up to 3 phone numbers, which you can easily program (it gives you several choices which phone number to store it as, e.g. home phone, cell phone). In the learning mode it will then ask you "what's your cell phone number" providing the first digit and the child is supposed to enter the rest. I agree with the other reviewer that it would be nice if the phone would recite the number, or at least give hints. I think I will solve the problem by writing our phone number on a notecard for my son until he knows them better... this way he still learns how to key the numbers in. Maybe someone can help me with this, but it seems that once you programmed e.g. two phone numbers, there is no delete function to erase one of them (you... Read more |
